Launching of WAve Cutter Bow Asymmetrical Stern

During Asian Tanker Conference 2018 held in Singapore on 27-28 Mar, Focal Marine & Offshore presented our WACBAS (WAve Cutter Bow Asymmetrical Stern) series tanker design, as result of three years R & D in tanker sector with more focusing on optimization of tanker bow and stern form.

The series includes five sizes – 51,000 dwt, 25,000 dwt, 18,000 dwt, 13,000 dwt and 8,000 dwt (Detail shown in OUR DESIGNS / TANKER). It will reduce bow slamming / vessel motion in rough sea, and increase propulsion efficiency by 3-5%, only by the unique hull form without any extra equipment.

The other features of the series include optimized cargo capacity, LNG fuel, and compliance with latest regulations (Tier 3, BWTS, Noise Code, MLC etc).

Although the series is developed as IMO 2 chemical tanker, the design can be customized to product / crude tanker upon client’s wish.
